💧 Water Safety Inspection Checklist
Weekly inspection for all water sources. Perform more frequently in hot weather.
TANK INSPECTION
Water is clear (not cloudy or discolored)
No algae growth on tank walls
Float valve operating correctly
No debris or dead animals in water
Tank structure is sound (no cracks or leaks)
POND/NATURAL WATER
No blue-green algae blooms visible
Access points are safe for livestock
Banks are stable (no erosion hazards)
Fencing around pond is intact
No chemical runoff from nearby fields
⚠️ Warning: If you see bright green scum or paint-like film on water surface, it may be toxic blue-green algae. Keep all animals and people away and contact your extension agent.

No unusual odor from water
pH test completed (record below)
