An unknown plant? Get a proper ID.
A photo can help an expert identify a plant. It cannot prove a pasture is safe.

Look, but do not taste
Take clear photos of the whole plant, leaves, flowers, and seed pods. Note where it grows. Ask your county farm advice office (Extension) for help.
Do not trust a single picture
Plants can look alike. Risk also depends on the animal, how much it ate, and the plant’s stage of growth. A phone app is a starting point, not a safety decision.
If an animal is ill
Call your vet promptly. Describe the signs and any plants it could reach. Do not try a home treatment or force food or water into a sick animal.
